HKUST Crypto-FinTech Lab has recently received a generous donation in the amount of US$100,000 from Harmon Venture to bolster blockchain research and talent development. This initiative arises as Hong Kong solidifies its status as Asia's leading Web3 hub, following the HKSAR government's enhancement of its regulatory framework for virtual assets and the enactment of the Stablecoins Ordinance.

Harmon Ventures (鴻銘資本) is a seasoned Web3.0 project incubator and AI accelerator. The company integrates investment research with strategic planning and empowers transformative initiatives such as the GBA RWA Incubator and Harmon Education, driving the future of technology and decentralized ecosystems.

Harmon Venture's generous donation will support the Crypto-FinTech Lab's research initiatives in applied blockchain, with an emphasis on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, industry-aligned development for Web3 education and student innovation programs bridging academic and commercial applications.

"By supporting Crypto-FinTech Lab at HKUST, we're investing in the talent pipeline that will drive Hong Kong's digital economy leadership," stated by Founder and Chairwomen Ms. Diana Zhu. The venture firm has been actively expanding its Web3 education partnerships across the Mainland China and Asia, with this donation marking its first education commitment in Hong Kong.
